Matilde Esther Fuentes is IMDEA Social Sciences Administration Manager. She graduated in Chemistry Science from the University of Almería (2000) and received her Ph.D. in the same subject from the University of Castilla-La Mancha in 2006. Dr. Fuentes also earned a Master’s Degree in Technology and Industrial Management from CESIF. She is a Certified University Expert in Quality Management from UNED, and a Specialist in R&D Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She has conducted a diverse array of research and management activities along her professional career. Prior to joining IMDEA, Dr Fuentes held the position of Project Manager of the ESTRUMAT Project, a program of R&D activities in the area of Advanced Structural Materials funded by the Government of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, and later at the CIBERER, a project of the Biomedical Network Research Centre for Rare Diseases financed by the Health Institute Carlos III, a research institution under the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
