Companies, foundations and other institutions as well as individuals interested in IMDEA Social Sciences may contribute to its activities through various collaborative schemes, as indicated below:
Sponsorship of Academic Chairs
- Donors make long-term contributions to cover salaries and other expenses of a specific Chair (e.g., International Trade).
- Chair holders will carry the donor’s name in national and international conferences and scientific publications, e.g. IMDEA Social Sciences, [Donor’s name] Chair of [Discipline]
- Donors will have privileged access to research results and enjoy institutional presence in activities organized by the Institute.
Sponsorship of research projects
- Donors contribute funds towards a specific end generally linked to a relevant research project. Contributions will cover specific needs of the project, such as travel expenses, database acquisition and field research.
- Donors will have privileged access to research results and enjoy institutional presence in promotional activities related to the project.
Sponsorship of academic events
- Donors contribute funds for specific events organized by the Institute.
- The sponsor will have privileged access to the works presented during the event and enjoy institutional presence in related promotional activities
- Donors contribute funds for grants, fellowships and scholarships. The sponsor will have privileged access to the scientific results obtained by research fellows.
- The sponsor will have institutional presence in promotional activities related to the research funded.
- Researchers working under a grant program will carry the sponsor’s name to national and international conferences and academic publications, e.g., IMDEA Social Sciences, [Sponsor’s Name] Fellow in [Economics]
Sponsorship of infrastructures
- Donors make contributions towards the purchase of physical plant and research equipment (e.g., classrooms, library,databases and computer facilities).
- Infrastructures so financed will bear the donor’s name (e.g., [Donor’s name] Computer Room)
- Donors will also see their contribution acknowledged through the media activities of the Institute.
